Lidah Kucing (Kattetongen)

A friend of mine requested me to make this cookies for her. It’s been a long time since I made this cookies… I almost forgot how to make it hehe

I’m using the recipe I got from Ibu Nila Chandra with a few modification. The ingredients are the basic one, actually this is the simple/basic cookies. Everyone can make it and the taste is so butter and yummy 😀

Btw, you can put lemon jam or other jam in between the cookies, makes it yummy lemon biscuits 🙂

Lidah Kucing (Kattetongen)


  • Butter 300 gram
  • Sugar 150 gram
  • Egg yellow 2 pcs
  • Vanilla extract
  • Milk powder 25 gram
  • Cornstarch 25 gram
  • Flour 250 gram
  • Egg white 175 ml (or equivalent to 5 medium-sized eggs)
    Sugar 1 tablespoon

Beat the butter until soft (about 1-2 minutes). Add the sugar and beat until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes). Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the vanilla extract and beat until combined.
Add the dry ingredients until all well blended.

In different bowl, mix egg white and sugar until the stiff, then mix with the dough.

Put the dough into a plastic bag and place on the baking pan. Bake with low temperature.
